Director Poonch Campus Felicitates Student Participants of Sangam-2023, Distributes Certificates and medals of Participation

POONCH, October 28: The Poonch Campus University of Jammu today organized heartwarming felicitation of the talented student participants of Sangam-2023. During this special ceremony, Director Poonch Campus Prof. Rakesh Vaid not only handed out certificates and medals of participation but also showered praise on the students and accompanying faculty for their outstanding performance during Sangam 2023.

Sangam-2023, a much-anticipated annual cultural fest hosted by Bhaderwah Campus in Collaboration with Indian Army 4RR unfolded as a glorious celebration of diverse talents, artistic expressions and unity. It was an event that showcased the remarkable skills and creativity of our students from various disciplines.

During the felicitation ceremony at the Poonch Campus, Prof. Rakesh Vaid congratulated the students and accompanying faculty, acknowledging their remarkable contributions. “Sangam-2023 has been a resounding success because of our students’ unwavering commitment to excellence and their remarkable performances. Their dedication to the spirit of Sangam 2023, which embodies diversity and unity, has truly made this event special,” he said.

Poonch Campus emerged victorious (1st position) in Skit, Painting, Rangoli, and Debate, displaying an outstanding level of skill and creativity. Additionally, they secured a well-deserved silver medal (2nd Position) in Solo Dance, showcasing their versatility and talent. Amongst the 20 educational institutions that participated, Poonch Campus stood proudly at the 5th rank.

As a token of appreciation and recognition for their stellar participation, Director Poonch Campus distributed certificates and medals to the student participants. Their faces lit up with pride and joy as they received these awards, underscoring the significance of their hard work and dedication.

Director further praised the faculty members Dr Rubia Bukhari and Ms Kalpana Sudan who guided and supported the students, helping them reach new heights of excellence. “Our faculty plays a pivotal role in nurturing the talents of our students. Their guidance and mentorship have been invaluable, and I want to express my deep appreciation for their exceptional work,” he added.

He further thanked the Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof. Rahul Gupta , CO 4RR Col Yogesh Couhan and 2IC Lt.Col Sameer, civil administration, Police for their unwavering support to Poonch Campus contingent and hoped that they would continue do the same. He further expressed his pride in the accomplishments of the students. “Sangam-2023 was a platform for young talents to shine and for the community to appreciate the vibrant cultural tapestry of the region,” he added 

Dr. Rubia Bukhari, In-Charge of the Poonch Campus contingent, took the opportunity to speak at the event. She expressed her gratitude to Director Poonch Campus Prof. Rakesh Vaid for his unending support and cooperation in making Sangam-2023 a grand success. “Director Poonch Campus’s unwavering support has been the driving force behind the success of our contingent. His guidance and leadership have made our participation in Sangam-2023 a memorable and fruitful experience,” she stated.

She further said that the Cocoon Art and Craft Exhibition by the Poonch Campus, was main attraction of Sangam-2023, offered a visual treat to visitors with its exquisite display of artworks and crafts. “It served as a bridge between tradition and innovation, showcasing both the roots and the evolution of local art forms,” she added.

Present on the occasion includes Mr.Rajesh, Dr Suraksha Chanotra, Dr Jyoty Angotra, Dr Palvi Sharma, Mr Sahil Choudhary, Mr Mohd Sagheer and Mr Sandeep Kumar.
