DC inspects patient care services in District Hospital Rajouri

RAJOURI, October 28:  In a proactive move towards improving the healthcare facilities in the district, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal conducted a comprehensive visit to the District Hospital Rajouri today.

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal paid keen attention to various departments within the hospital, with a special focus on the Emergency Ward. DC ensured that emergency medical services should be properly delivered at the casualty of GMC Rajouri. He also emphasized that visit of senior doctors is must and it must be enforced. Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of cultivating a patient-friendly attitude among ancillary services, including paramedical staff, nursing, and lab personnel

In an effort to ensure the availability and efficiency of medical services, he reviewed the rosters of doctors. DC asked the officers to ensure that weekly rosters of doctors should be communicated with the administration and should be strictly enforced. This action aimed at optimizing the allocation of medical professionals to cater to the medical needs of the patients effectively.

Emphasizing the crucial role of nursing staff in patient care, the Deputy Commissioner directed the hospital staff to prioritize the well-being of patients. This move underscores the significance of compassionate and efficient care as a fundamental aspect of the mission of the hospital.

As part of the visit, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal also inspected the newly constructed building housing the Oncology and Ophthalmic wards. This facility is a significant addition to the healthcare infrastructure of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner personally evaluated its functioning and gave clear directives to the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) to expedite any pending construction works. This action is aimed at ensuring that the new building becomes fully operational at the earliest, ultimately benefiting the patients in need.

This extensive inspection and review of District Hospital Rajouri underlines the commitment of the administration to providing accessible, efficient, and compassionate healthcare services to the people of the district.
