Government Polytechnic Jammu organises Debate, Quiz Competition as a part of UT foundation day celebration

JAMMU, October 28: The NSS unit of Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu, as a part of UT foundation day celebrations, on Saturday organised a debate competition on the topic “Ek Bharat, Shreshth Bharat” to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel . 

The participants from different departments expressed their views and remembered the Ironman of India who stood for the unity and integrity of the Country.

Principal, Er. Arun Bangotra felicitated the winner and participants of the debate competition. 

The first position was bagged by Jasinder Kumar, 1st Semester Electrical engineering, Second position won by Archita Gupta 1st Sem, Civil engineering and 3rd place was won by Kamal Singh of Automobile engineering department. 

In quiz competition, eight different departments of the college took part and the team of Electrical engineering comprising Subhash Singh, Ojasvini, Rohit Kendal, Gursahib Singh, Jagat Ram and Harsh Verma of 5th Semester emerged victorious.

The Principal, while speaking on the occasion, stressed upon all the participants and audience to inculcate the spirit of Nationalism and to remain united ‘so that our country becomes strong and prosperous.’ He congratulated the winners and participants.

Er. Manjeet Singh, HoD Electrical Engineering, Faculty Vandana Chib, Himanshu Bakshi, Devika Bhardwaj, Akash Dasgotra, Vicky Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Chamel Singh PEM and Toshi Devi PET were present on the occasion.
