Free Health Check up, Physiotherapy and Breast Cancer Awareness Camp held at Central University of Jammu

Jammu, 29 October 2023: Central University of Jammu in collaboration with Kanval International Rehabilitation Foundation (KIRF) organised a free health check up and physiotherapy camp for the students of Central University (hostel residents) at Boys and girl hostel at Sainik colony Jammu.

A team of doctors from Government Ayurvedic hospital headed by Dr. Sukhpreet kour provided free consultation and medicines to all the beneficiaries in the camp. Physiotherapy team from KIRF headed by renowned Physiotherapist Dr. Imran Khan gave physiotherapy consultation and sensitized the participants regarding Management of Ergonomical musculoskeletal disorders. Besides medical consultation a special Breast Cancer Awareness Camp was also organised for girl students of CUJ in association with American Oncology Institute Jammu at girls hostel.Dr. Surbhi Kudyar (Consultant Surgical Oncologist AOI) held a very informative session regarding  identification, prevention and management of breast cancer. An interactive session was also held where Dr. Surbhi cleared the queries raised by the participants regarding breast cancer.

The State organ donation organisation GMC Jammu led by Dr. Irfan Lone, coordinator SOTO Jammu held an interactive session with the students and made them aware about the importance of organ donation for saving precious lives. The camp was coordinated by Dr. Harpreet Singh (Medical Officer CUJ).
