National Conference on “Role of Social Sciences in Managing Perception and Nurturing Peace in Jammu and Kashmir” Concludes at Bhaderwah Campus
BHADERWAH, October 30: The two-day National Conference on the “Role of Social Sciences in Managing Perception and Nurturing Peace in Jammu and Kashmir.” successfully concluded here today at Bhaderwah Campus. The conference, which brought together eminent scholars, experts, and practitioners, concluded on a high note with a diverse range of discussions and insights.
The National Conference is a collaborative effort between the Bhaderwah Campus and Rashtriya Samaj Vigyan Parishad (RSVP) dedicated to the promotion of social sciences.
The conference was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Chandra Kala Padia, former Vice Chancellor, and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah, Dil Mir Choudhary, who was the guest of honor. Dr. Rahil Ahmed from ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) also attended as a special guest.
Expressed Gratitude: Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, expressed gratitude to all the guests who traveled from outside the state to participate in the conference. He said “The conference has served as a platform for diverse perspectives, enabling scholars and practitioners to engage in enriching dialogues on the critical role of social sciences in managing perception and nurturing peace,”
Prof. Chandra Kala Padia, the chief guest, delivered insightful deliberations on the evolving role of social sciences in the contemporary era, shedding light on their significance in today’s society. This National Conference served as a platform for enriching dialogues on the pivotal role of social sciences in managing perception and nurturing peace in the region of Jammu and Kashmir. It provided a diverse and inclusive space for scholars, researchers, and experts to exchange ideas and share their research findings.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Dil Mir Choudhary, delivered an extensive speech on the “Role of Social Sciences in Managing Perception and Nurturing Peace in Jammu and Kashmir.” He provided valuable insights into the practical implications and applications of social sciences in the context of peace-building in the region.
Dr. Rahil Ahmed, a senior fellow from ICSSR, discussed the role of ICRRS (Institute of Correctional Research and Training) in promoting social sciences and fostering research in the field.
Dr. Kuljit Singh convener of the conference spoke about the success of the two-day conference, emphasizing the significance of the discussions and contributions made during the event. He said that the Bhaderwah Campus extends its gratitude to all the participants, guests, and supporters who contributed to the success of the conference. “The event’s fruitful discussions and insights will undoubtedly play a significant role in addressing the complex issues faced in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added
He further thanked the all the teaching , non-teaching staff of the Bhaderwah Campus for their unending support to make this event successful one.
Dr. Neetu Parihar presented the conference report, summarizing the key takeaways and highlights of the conference. Ms Renu Devi conducted the proceedings of the event while as Mr Vimal presented formal vote of thanks. To recognize the valuable contributions of all the participants who presented papers on various aspects of the conference’s theme, they were presented with certificates and mementos as a token of appreciation.
