Vigilance Awareness Week: Rajouri Administration hosts interactive session to promote transparency

RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 01: To foster transparency and empower the citizens of the district, the District Administration Rajouri, under the overall guidance of Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, on Wednesday hosted an interactive session as part of Vigilance Awareness Week.

 The event was presided over by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria.

The event brought together a diverse group of participants, sharing their views and calling for an effective strategy to combat the menace of corruption. The attendees included members of the civil society, representatives from media organisations, auditors, leaders of local business establishments and Right to Information (RTI) activists. In his address, the Additional Deputy Commissioner   emphasized the pivotal role that transparency and empowered citizenship can play in the fight against corruption. He further highlighted the transformative potential of digital services, stressing that these not only enhance transparency but also empower citizens by offering efficient, time-bound solutions to their needs, ultimately contributing to a responsive administration.

He also provided a comprehensive overview of the grievance redressal mechanisms of the Government, highlighting their effectiveness in addressing public complaints. This initiative aims to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen trust, fostering a culture of responsive governance and efficient complaint resolution.
