District Admin organises series of awareness programs across Ramban

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 02: District Administration Ramban organized a series of events as part of ongoing ‘Vigilance Awareness Week, 2023’ across the district which was attended by the officers and officials from different departments.

During the programme , the speakers highlighted the measures  taken by the government to put an end to corruption, including promotion of e- Governance, disbursement of welfare benefits of different schemes of the Government in a transparent manner through the DBT mode, implementation of e-tendering in public procurement, simplification of procedure steps.

It was informed that the objective of the ’Vigilance Awareness Week’   is to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention of bribery and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of and the threat posed by the corruption.

Resource persons from different departments deliberated on the anti-corruption laws  and added that the main focus is to spread greater awareness among the general masses as well as local committees. The vigilance week programmes were also held at Sub division and Tehsil levels where the officers redressed the genuine complaints on the spot.

Meanwhile, students of different educational institutions prepared posters and displayed placards to encourage the people to free the society   from corruption.
