DC Kishtwar holds Interactive Session with Young Entrepreneurs & Students on AVSAR and SEI Schemes of Mission Youth- J&K

KISHTWAR, November 04: In a proactive initiative to foster the growth of young entrepreneurs and enhance skill development in the region, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today presided over an interactive meeting here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex Kishtwar. The meeting attended by budding entrepreneurs and students was organized to discuss the Skill Development Training programs offered by Mission Youth, Jammu and Kashmir with central focus of the discussion revolving around two key schemes: AVSAR (Connect to Opportunities Initiative) and SEI (Spurring Entrepreneur Initiatives) of Mission Youth, J&K.

The interactive session commenced with introductions from the aspiring youth entrepreneurs, Students and stakeholders who were in attendance. Dr. Devansh Yadav, the Deputy Commissioner, extended an open invitation for suggestions on how to initiate new businesses and how the administration could provide assistance. Attendees actively shared valuable insights during this phase of the meeting.

Dr. Devansh Yadav emphasized that the AVSAR program is strategically designed to bridge the gap between the region’s youth and market-oriented skills and employability. It serves as a vital conduit connecting local talent with corporate, national, and multinational enterprises. The overarching goal is to address the disparity between industry demands and the skilled youth in the area, thereby driving economic growth and socio-economic empowerment.

AVSAR encompasses a comprehensive range of initiatives, including Skill Development, Soft Skills training, Career Guidance, Job Melas, Industry-Academia collaboration, and the establishment of a professional exam study center. Through these services, the program aims to equip young individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in the job market.

 Shafqat Keen, Assistant Director, District Employment and Career Counseling Cell Kishtwar shared detailed insights about the AVSAR scheme. He emphasized the importance of guidance and counseling workshops and seminars conducted in collaboration with renowned businessmen, which will be instrumental in developing soft skills among the new entrepreneurs of Kishtwar in the near future. Additionally, Keen highlighted that coaching would also be provided to NEET, JEE, and civil services aspirants under these schemes in the district.

During the interactive session, Vinod Kumar, District Employment Officer, provided a comprehensive lecture on the loan and credit-linked financial assistance available under the Spurring Entrepreneur Initiatives (SEI) of Mission Youth, J&K.

The meeting concluded on a positive note with enthusiastic participation from the new and aspiring entrepreneurs who expressed their gratitude for the valuable insights and opportunities presented during the session.

This interactive meeting signifies the commitment of the administration and Mission Youth to empower the youth of Kishtwar and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
