DLSA Ganderbal conducts Door to Door Legal Awareness
GANDERBAL, November 06: On the eve of celebration of Legal Services Week, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committees Ganderbal and Kangan conducted two days mass Door to Door Legal awareness and Legal Literacy in their mission of justice at doorsteps in the district.
The campaign was organised under the guidance of Chairman DLSA, Ganderbal, Ritesh Kumar Dubey and under the supervision of Secretary/Civil Judge (Sr. Division) Nusrat Ali Hakak and Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Ganderbal, Mohammad Waseem Mirza.
DLSA Ganderbal has taken this proactive step towards providing free legal aid services in far-flung areas by conducting this two days door-to-door awareness programme.
Through door-to-door awareness programmes conducted by para-legal volunteers of the DLSA Ganderbal, DLSA aims to empower individuals by disseminating information about their rights and the legal assistance available to them.
During the door to door awareness programmes, number of applications have been received from the legal aid help seekers especially those residing in rural and far-flung areas, of district Ganderbal particularly Anderwan A&B, Yarmukam, Yarmukam C, Jabalpati Anderwan, Rabitar, Khan Mohalla Gund Roshan, Takanwari, Dab, Haknar Gund and Doieepati Gund.
Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, expressed immense satisfaction over the successful implementation of the door-to-door awareness programmes. She stated, “By organizing these targeted awareness programmes this authority aims to bring the benefits of legal aid services to the farthest corners of Ganderbal. DLSA Ganderbal efforts align with the vision of ensuring equal access to justice for all our citizens, regardless of their geographical location.”
DLSA, recognizing the dire need for accessible and affordable legal aid services across the district, organised this door-to-door awareness programmes to eliminate barriers and raise awareness among the residents of far-flung regions, ensuring they are informed about the free legal assistance available to them.
