Govt PG College Bhaderwah organises Workshop on Domestic Violence

BHADERWAH, November 09: In a significant step towards raising awareness and addressing the critical issue of domestic violence, Government (PG) Degree College Bhaderwah organized a comprehensive workshop on this pressing matter here on the College Campus. The event aimed to educate students and the broader community about domestic violence and providing resources to combat it. The workshop drew participants from diverse backgrounds, including students, faculty, and community members. It featured the experts who shared her insights on domestic violence, its impact on individuals and families, and strategies to prevent and address it. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Saba, and the gathering was formally welcomed by Prof. Mohd Yaseen Sirwal Head of Post-Graduate Department of Chemistry.

The keynote speaker for the event was Adv. Kiran Thakur, a renowned advocate for domestic violence survivors. She shared powerful stories and statistics, highlighting the prevalence and severity of domestic violence in society. Their compelling talk emphasized the need for awareness and action to combat this issue effectively. Throughout the program, the workshop included various sessions and panel discussions.
