Recruitment drive held at GPC Chanderkote Ramban

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 10: A substantial recruitment drive was today held at Government Polytechnic College (GPC), Chanderkote, Ramban

The recruitment drive was organized by the District Employment and Counselling Centre, under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.   

Assistant Director Employment, Dr. Sushant Mahajan,  informed that more than 100 unemployed youth participated in the recruitment process.  He informed that as many as 25 individuals successfully passed the initial screening, and  8 of them secured positions with an appealing package of  Rs 2.4 LPA for the Smart Project of Electric Buses in Jammu and Srinagar.

During the recruitment drive, candidates had the valuable opportunity to partake in a career counseling session led by Lovepreet Singh from the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment. He imparted them guidance and information about the different jobs available at the District Employment and Counseling Centre-cum-Model Career Centre.

It is pertinent to mention here that the recruitment drive was conducted virtually, with the support of Adecco, the hiring partner for the project. This virtual approach facilitated a smooth and efficient selection process.

Among others, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Ramban  Er. Vivek Mahajan, Career Counseling Officer Amir Hassan, and Placement Officer of Polytechnic, Mr. Abid were present.

This recruitment drive signifies a significant stride in providing employment opportunities for the region’s youth and underscores the collaborative efforts of various organizations and individuals in supporting career development.
