Round-2 commences across 78 Panchayats of District Doda
Senior functionaries convene multiple activities in allotted Pyts
DODA, NOVEMBER 14: Second last (2nd Round) of the mega public outreach programme, under Back to Village Phase-5 initiative commenced today across 78 Gram Panchayats of the 17 CD Blocks of the District.
Ninety two Gram Panchayats have already been covered in the first round from 9th to 10th of November.
On the day-1 of the round two of B2V5, several senior government functionaries including Pawan Singh Rathore, Special Secretary to Govt Hospitality and Protocol Department; Rakesh Kumar, Addl Secretary Finance Department; Dr khalid Hussain Malik, JD Employment; Dr Tahir Firdous, Addl. Secretary PDD; Pankaj Katoch, Addl. Com. in the Div Com office; Bharat Bhushan CEO IWMP; Yasir Sharief, FA&CAO Skill Dev Deptt.; and others, reached their allotted Gram Panchayats and started their scheduled activities.
Visiting/ Prabhari Officers received a grand welcome. The VOs will stay in the allotted panchayats tonight and continue their scheduled activities till tomorrow.
The designated Visiting/ Prabhari Officers, along with supporting staff and field functionaries of the line departments will listen to villagers and prepare Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the wishes of people of the village.
The Prabhari Officers shall spread awareness and ensure saturation of all the government schemes and report to the government on the aspirations and feedback of the people of their respective panchayats.
The VOs have been exhorted to focus on the penetration of online services in the rural population to expedite the public services delivery in a transparent manner.
The mega outreach programme in Doda, under the unique initiative of the UT Government, is supervised and managed by the District Administration Doda, under the leadership of District Development Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh. The Back to Village (B2V) Programme is the flagship public outreach, participation, and feedback programme. During the programme, the Prabhari Officers visit their respective panchayats, stay there for a specific period to interact and obtain feedback from the grass-roots so as to tailor Government efforts in improving the delivery of village-specific services. The B2V Programme is aimed at involving the people and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development in rural areas.
During the first day of round-2 of the B2V5 programme in the designated panchayats, the visiting officers held interaction with members of the PRIs and general public. They inspected various government institutions viz schools, Anganwadi Centres, Ration depots, Health institutions, Patwar khanas, Panchayat Ghars, etc. They also visited the sites of ongoing and completed works under MGNREGA, Capex Budget, PMAY, SBM, and other such schemes. Visiting officers also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of some of the important public assets. Visiting officers inspected Amrit Sarovars, interacted with the public especially, youth and created awareness on Self-Employment schemes. Feedback on welfare schemes, services delivery, and the punctuality of officials in the villages was reviewed by the visiting officers on day-1, round-2, of B2V5. The saturation of the Developmental Deliverables set by the government was also reviewed at the panchayat level. The designated officers also held interactions with the sarpanches, panches, and general public, who brought forth a range of genuine and specific grievances and developmental requirements of their areas.
The resource persons of various departments also educated the public about scores of welfare schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
