Last Round commences in 68 Panchayats of Doda District   

Senior Govt functionaries attend Gram Panchayat meetings; review development activities 

DODA, NOVEMBER 15: The last and 3rd round of the flagship public outreach feedback programme-Back to Village-5(B2V5) commenced today across 68 Panchayats of District Doda.

The Prabhari Officers visited the allotted panchayats to interact and obtain feedback from the locals so as to tailor Government efforts towards improving the delivery of village-specific services. The B2V Programme is aimed at to involve the people and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development in rural areas.

In district Doda, the outreach programme was divided into three rounds covering all the 237 Gram Panchayats in 17 Blocks. The second round covered 78 Gram Panchayats, while the Prabhari Officers reached the remaining 68 Panchayats for the third and last round during which they would stay for 2-days   and conduct the scheduled activities. It is pertinent to mention here that 92 Gram Panchayats have already been covered in the first round from 9th to 10th of November 2023.

Senior government functionaries including Pawan Singh Rathore, Special Secretary to Govert Hospitality and Protocol Department; Suraj Parkash Rakhwal, Special Secretary DMRR Department;  Kanta Devi, Special Secretary, School Education Department; Dr Khalid Hussain Malik, JD Employment; Sanjeev Rana, Addl Secretary, J&K AACL; Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, Director Forensic laboratory; Dr Tahir Firdous, Addl. Secretary PDD; Sh Pankaj Katoch, Addl. Com. in the Div Com office; Bharat Bhushan CEO IWMP; Yasir Sharief, FA&CAO Skill Dev Deptt. and others held interaction with the PRIs, Public in their allotted Gram Panchayats,  listened to their issues and imparted awareness about government schemes, initiatives, and policies.

  The designated Visiting/ Prabhari Officers, along with supporting staff and field functionaries of the line departments prepared Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the wishes of people of the village. The Prabhari Officers also ensured the awareness and saturation of all the government schemes, and detailed reports in this regard have been submitted to the government containing aspirations and feedback of the people of their respective panchayats. The VOs have been exhorted to focus on the penetration of online services in the rural population to expedite the public services delivery in a transparent manner.

The mega outreach programme in Doda, under the unique initiative of the UT Government, is supervised and managed by the District Administration Doda, under the leadership of District Development Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh.

 Meanwhile, the Visiting Officers inspected  government institutions viz schools, Anganwadi Centres, Ration depots, Health institutions, Patwar khanas, Panchayat Ghars etc. They also visited the sites of ongoing and completed works under MGNREGA, Capex Budget, PMAY, SBM, and other such schemes. Visiting officers also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of important public assets.
