One day Awareness cum Assessment camp for Senior Citizens held at Shopian

SHOPIAN, November 20: In order to promote inclusiveness and to ensure dignified life for senior citizens, the Department of Social Welfare, Shopian today organised a one day awareness cum assessment camp at the Govt. High School Chitragam.

On the occasion, senior citizens were made aware about various schemes provided by the Department along with acquainting them with the facilities available at the Old Age Home located at Alyalpora Shopian. 

The assessment of senior citizens was also done for various prosthetic aids like walking sticks , foot resters, knee belts etc for their hassle free movement.

A huge number of Senior citizens got themselves registered for availing various aids.
