Police arrest drug peddler in Baramulla, seize 28 grams of Charas
In a significant operation against drug trafficking, police in Baramulla have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 28 grams of contraband charas-like substances from his possession.

The arrest occurred at Babareshi Crossing in the Baramulla district. Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted a man identified as Mohd Azhar Khan and conducted a search. Subsequently, 28 grams of substances resembling charas were seized from Khan’s possession.
Khan was immediately arrested and a case was registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station Tangmarg.
Further investigation is underway to identify the source of the drugs and apprehend other persons involved in the drug trafficking network.
