ADDC reviews progress under Aspirational Block, Aspirational Panchayat Development Programmes in district Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, NOVEMBER 23: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar, Sham Lal today chaired a   meeting to assess the progress achieved under Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) and Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme (APDP) in the district.

The primary focus of the meeting was to evaluate the advancements made under the Area Development Plan in these blocks and panchayats, encompassing the developmental initiatives undertaken in collaboration with District Development Councils (DDCs), Block Development Councils (BDCs), and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) Plans in these blocks and panchayats.

Noteworthy progress was highlighted during the meeting, showcasing significant strides in development. Specifically, it was reported that 75 percent of the targeted works (50 out of 64) in Warwan block have been completed, while approximately 90 percent of the targeted works in Warwan are already accomplished.

ADDC Kishtwar stressed the importance of aligning financial achievements with the completed physical targets. He urged for 100 percent expenditure of these projects and the prompt submission of bills for the completed works under these schemes to ensure seamless financial reconciliation.

Expressing concerns about impending winter conditions, the ADDC emphasized the need for the timely completion of ongoing developmental projects under these schemes in the area of Marwah and Warwan. This urgency is to ensure the fulfillment of the targets for the fiscal year 2023-24 without encountering any impediments.

Highlighting the broader objective of the APDP initiative, ADDC Kishtwar reiterated its purpose in fostering the development of Aspirational Panchayats through the convergence of various ongoing district, UT schemes, and centrally sponsored schemes/programs. He stressed the need for optimal scheme saturation to maximize benefits.

The meeting delved into detailed discussions regarding developmental issues under the ABDP & APDP, with comprehensive deliberations conducted among attendees.

In attendance were prominent officials including Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; Chief Agriculture Officer, Amjad Hussain Malik; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Ajaz Hussain; Chief Horticulture Officer, Sajjid Mustafa; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. M Y Mir, Executive Engineer, Mohd Aslam Lone alongside other concerned officers.
