Illegal mining crackdown in Baramulla; police arrest 9, seize 9 vehicles

In a major crackdown on illegal mining of minerals, the Baramulla Police have seized two tippers, seven tractors, and arrested nine drivers in separate operations conducted in the Kunzer, Delina Ghat, and Check Jamal areas.

During the operations, the police teams intercepted and seized the vehicles loaded with illegally mined minerals. The drivers of these vehicles were also arrested and are currently being questioned.

Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered against the accused persons, and further investigations are underway.

The Baramulla Police has reiterated its commitment to curbing illegal mining activities in the district and taking strict action against those involved in such illegal practices.
