World Disability Day: CRC Bemina organises series of events, distribution of Aids & Appliances

SRINAGAR, December 03: The Composite Regional Centre, (CRC) Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Government of India, Bemina, Srinagar today observed ‘World Disability Day’ at the CRC campus, here. 

This institution conducted this  World Disability Day by way of organizing series of cultural programmes, events, distribution of Aids and appliances in the interest of Differently Able Persons keeping in view the theme of this year ‘United in action to rescue and achieve the sustainable development goals for, with and by persons with disabilities’.

During the event, students pursuing Degree and Diploma level rehabilitation courses in this institution performed cultural and motivational programmes, themes, lectures, educational events etc showcasing the prevention aspects, needs and rehabilitation aspects of Differently Able Persons in our society. 

On the occasion, Aids & Assistive devices under ADIP Scheme of the Ministry were distributed among the registered needy beneficiaries in presence of the Office in-charge CRC, Dr. Arifa Amin; Academic Head, Dr. Zafar Iqbal and Rehabilitation Officer Shameem Ahmad as well as faculty members of this institution. 

The parents and siblings of the Differently Abled Persons (beneficiaries) who received these aids & assistive devices on the spot expressed pleasure and extended their satisfaction towards the work, Clinical and Rehabilitation services being provided by this institution in the interest of Differently Abled Persons.
