Department of the Strategic and Regional Studies Shared Their Experience of Unique “College on Wheels” Educational Tour

JAMMU, December 06: The Department of Strategic and Regional Studies (DSRS), University of Jammu has organized a talk of the students who have recently visited various places across India under the “College on Wheels – J&K Gyanodaya Express” program in the seminar hall of the DSRS and the event was chaired by Dr. Mohd. Monir Alam. Three students namely Ms. Suneha Chambyal, Ms. Ankita Malpotra and Ms. Roshani Bandral were part of this pioneering educational endeavour. The objective of this journey was to facilitate the discovery of the student’s inner passions and life’s purpose through immersive, collaborative, project-based learning experiences to address the real-world challenges.

Students appreciated the efforts of worthy Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu for this transformative educational tour of students. The journey took the students to significant places like the Indian Parliament, Delhi University, Sabarmati Aashram and Gujarat Vidyapeeth in Gujarat, the INS Khanderi (Submarine) and INS Deepak (Oil Tanker) at the naval dockyard of Mumbai, Goa, and the pioneer scientific institutions of India such as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru and the Gandhi Ashram at Wardha. This program was attended by Dr. Suneel Kumar, Dr. Surinder Mohan, Dr. Ganesh Malhotra, Dr. Ranjan Sharma, research scholars and students of the department.
