DC Kishtwar finalises arrangements for Republic Day celebration
KISHTWAR, January 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today chaired a meeting of officers to finalize the arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day 2023 at the district Headquarter and other places.
SSP, Khalil Poswal; ADDC, Sham Lal; ADC, Kishori Lal Sharma; ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACD, Atul Dutt Sharma; DTO, Lokesh Kumar; DPO, Sunil Bhutyal; CEO, Kishtwar, CMO, DIO representatives of Cultural cell, Executive Engineer R&B, PHE besides other concerned officers of various departments were present during the meeting.
The arrangements like decoration of main venue, invitations, seating, PA system, power supply, drinking water, medical facilities, availability of ambulances, cleanliness and sanitation, traffic management and other arrangements were discussed and finalised in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the DC passed directions to the concerned officers for smooth conduct of the National event with fervor and gaiety in all educational institutions and government offices besides at Tehsil and block headquarters.
DC informed that the main programme shall be held at DC Office Complex Kishtwar where celebration of the national event will begin with the playing of Shehnai Vadan by the Information Department, the national flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising the contingents from J&K Police, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children besides the presentations by the Women Self help group members of NRLM will be special attraction for this year, he added.
The DC directed the concerned officials of Culture cell and Education Department for ensuring cultural programs on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan and National integrity.
DIO was instructed for the availability of PA system. The PDD department was directed to ensure the uninterrupted electricity supply in the venue besides ensuring the availability of DG set.
DC stressed on officers to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth functioning of the Republic Day celebrations.
