PM-SHRI Scheme: Deputy Commissioner flags off Students’ field tour from Doda
DODA December 07: In a significant step towards the advancement of education in Bhagwaha zone, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, today flagged off a group of students of Government High School Sooli on a field tour.
The students shall visit Baglihar hydraulic project and the site of the highest railway bridge at Reasi.
The initiative falls under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) scheme, a new centrally sponsored program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Teachers Day. The event, attended by CEO, teaching staff, and students, marked a milestone in the mission to upgrade nearly 14,500 schools across India.
During the event, DC Doda also had an ardent interaction with the students leaving for the field tour. The flag-off ceremony served as a symbolic launch of the mission under the PM-SHRI scheme, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhance the educational infrastructure and quality of education in government schools.
