Vyomika Space Lab organises Seminar at GDC Kishtwar

ISRO Scientist engages with students, enlightens audience on “Space Legacy and Future of Gaganyaan Mission”

KISHTWAR, December 08: The Vyomika Space Lab, in Collaboration with District Administration Kishtwar & Education Department, organised an enlightening seminar featuring a highly informative talk by ISRO Scientist Deepak Singh on the “Space Legacy of ISRO & the Future of Gaganyaan Mission at GDC Kishtwar.

The event served as an invaluable opportunity for students to delve into the realms of space exploration and its promising future besides empowering students with the insights about the future of Gaganyaan Mission.

Additional District Development Commissioner Sham Lal was the Chief Guest, while CEO Prahlad Bhagat was the guest of honour.

As many as 300 Students of Higher secondary schools and GDCs took part in the seminar along with the team of Space Lab of HSS Boys Kishtwar steered by Nodal Officer Space Lab Arshad Hussain (Sr. Lecturer Physics), Sunil Kumar and Mohammad Anees (Lecturers of Physics).

The seminar commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and the illumination of new horizons.

Inaugurating the session, the ADDC emphasized Kishtwar’s stride towards holistic development and exemplary performances by students of the district in sports, education, and Health & fitness fields at National and international level.

Taking the proceedings of the Seminar forward, Khalid Hussain Sr. Lecturer Chemistry extended a warm welcome to the guests, setting the tone for an engaging and enlightening seminar.

In his interaction with the students, Deepak Singh, Senior Fellow ISRO, passionately engaged and fostered insights into the captivating realm of space exploration. The enthusiastic students actively participated in the seminar, showcasing a profound interest and posing numerous insightful questions, all of which were expertly addressed by the ISRO Fellow.

Speaking at the event, the ADDC expressed his optimism for Kishtwar’s advancement and highlighted the tremendous opportunities available to the students in Astro-Physics & Space research besides  emphasizing the crucial role of First of its kind Space Lab of J&K established at GHSS Kishtwar in the transformative journey.

The seminar proved to be an enriching experience, offering a platform for students to grasp the essence of India’s space legacy and to envision their role in the future of space exploration through extensive interaction with the Scientist/Senior Fellows of ISRO.

The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Pardeep Koul , Lecturer Chemistry.
