Suchetgarh witnesses huge public participation as Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra visits border block 

JAMMU, December 08: In a stellar display of public participation, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was warmly welcomed in border Block Suchetgarh today.

The event, hosted at the Government High School in Badyal Qazian, witnessed active participation from various departments, each contributing to the success of the yatra.

Under the guidance of Block Development Officer, Akanksha Gupta, the yatra offered on-the-spot services to the villagers.

Notable dignitaries present at the function included Akanksha Gupta, Block Development Officer of Suchetgarh, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The guest of honour, the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, added to the celebratory atmosphere.

The VBSY programme showcased the collaborative efforts of Health, Social Welfare, NRHM, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Industrial & Commerce, ICDS, Revenue, RDD and various other departments.

As part of the cultural festivities at the venue, children from the school actively participated in the ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’ program, presenting a myriad of colourful cultural items and patriotic songs. Acknowledging their stellar performances, Akanksha Gupta felicitated the young talents with medals and certificates. A vote of thanks was extended to all participating departments for their invaluable contributions, making the Yatra a resounding success.

Expanding beyond Suchetgarh, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra across Jammu district, witnessed a massive turnout of more than 10,000 enthusiastic participants. A total of 40 gram panchayats played host to a diverse array of events, including 16 health camps and 33 cultural programs under ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke.’ The Yatra not only provided on-the-spot government services but also celebrated the achievements of women, sports enthusiasts and academic achievers, adding a touch of recognition and appreciation to the broader picture of this impactful initiative.
