J&K witnessed real dev under PM Modi: Ashok Koul

JAMMU, December 10: Jammu and Kashmir BJP general secretary (org) Ashok Koul, alongwith State Vice President Shakti Parihar, District President Vijay Mohan, former MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar, Secretary (org) Vipan Sharma and other senior party leaders, addressed a large public gathering under “Booth Jan Samvad Maha Abhiyaan” at panchayat Paryot A and B, in Khellani mandal of district Doda.

Ashok Koul, while addressing the gathering, said that like other parts of the country, Jammu and Kashmir, too has been benefitted by the development projects and the welfare schemes of BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For the first time in the history of J&K, the people here have witnessed the real development in various fields. Widening of existing roads, expressways, construction of flyovers, extending rail connectivity, upgradation and modernization of railway stations and airports, mega power projects, prestigious educational institutions like IIT, IIIM, establishing premier healthcare infrastructure, medical colleges at district levels, are among large list of what this UT has got from Modi government in less than ten years.

Ashok Koul said that almost every citizen of J&K has been covered under welfare schemes of the Union Government. The poor, women, farmers, youth, refugees, displaced persons, all have got share in centrally sponsored schemes. Today, there has been a change in the socio- economic status of many sections, he said.

Ashok Koul said that large number of people attending the “Booth Jan Samvad Maha Abhiyaan” programmes and rallies are from among the beneficiaries of welfare schemes. They come to these programmes to express gratitude to the PM for coming forward as messiah and make their lives dignified.

Shakti Parihar, said that the people of hilly and far-flung areas were the worst sufferers for decades together when there were Congress, NC and PDP in power. It is only BJP government under PM Narendra Modi, which treated all regions, faiths equal in its programmes and policies. Modi government bridged the gap between rural and urban, plain and hilly areas and presented true model of concern for one and all.

Dalip Singh Parihar, spoke on various projects of road connectivity in hilly areas and said that an era of development has begun and better means of communication will go a long way in promoting local business and create employment opportunities.

Later, the party leaders took out a Vijay rally in the town to celebrate the party’s recent splendid victory in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh assemblies. They also distributed sweets and termed the landslide victory as the endorsement of the good governance of PM Narendra Modi.
