Enhancing Electoral Awareness in Reasi: Mobile Van campaign and EVM Demonstration Centres launched

REASI, December 15: In a step towards enhancing electoral awareness,  District Development Commissioner  Reasi Vishesh Mahajan flagged off a mobile van today from the DC office complex. The van is dedicated to creating awareness on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs).

The Aim of the campaign is  to reach the grassroots level, starting with the Gulabgarh Assembly Constituency. The mobile van will traverse the region, engaging with the public to foster a deeper understanding of the electoral process and the role of EVMs and VVPATs.

The DDC Mahajan said that, through these efforts, we aim to empower citizens with knowledge and ensure a transparent and informed electoral participation.

In addition to the mobile van campaign, EVM Demonstration Centres were functioning today at various locations. These centres are now operational at the DDC office in Reasi, as well as the offices of SDM Mahore, Dharmari, and Katra. The demonstration centres will serve as platforms for hands-on experiences, allowing citizens to familiarize themselves with the functioning of EVMs and VVPATs.
