Beyond Saturation, towards Transformation: VBSY witnesses grand success in Bandipora

BANDIPORA, December 18: With the aim to achieve 100% saturation of beneficiaries under centrally sponsored flagship schemes, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continues in every nook and corner of district Bandipora.

The Information Education and Communication Van traversed through all 151 Panchayats of the district, besides all 43 Urban Local Bodies were also covered by the Van with transformative impact on the lives of people.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad said that the VBSY emerges as a beacon of hope, playing a vital role in empowering communities and driving lasting change.

He said that the Yatra’s focus on “beyond saturation, towards transformation” is yielding tangible results viz. increased awareness and active participation in scheme implementation, improved utilization of scheme benefits, leading to positive socio-economic changes, stronger sense of community ownership and responsibility for development.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November 2023, the Yatra is the largest-ever outreach initiative of the Government of India spanning across 2.60 lakh Gram Panchayats and more than 4000 Urban Local Bodies.

The Yatra aims to go beyond mere beneficiary identification to foster active “Jan Bhagidari” through awareness campaigns, workshops, and community interactions.

Moreover, the yatra ensures proper understanding of scheme benefits, eligibility criteria, and application procedures, empowering individuals to claim their rightful entitlements.

Through the Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani segment, the Yatra aims to amplify the voices of beneficiaries, whose lives have been transformed by the schemes, inspiring others to leverage these opportunities.

As Yatra continues its journey, it offers a roadmap for a future where centrally sponsored schemes are not just statistics but instruments of empowerment, catalyzing a wave of inclusive and sustainable development across India.

Nodal officer IEC Van Bilal Ahmad Mir, who is also ARTO/DIO Bandipora, said that the yatra has been a grand success in Bandipora as 100 percent panchayats, ULBs stand covered under VBSY.

He said that IEC Van reached every nook and corner of the district, including far flung areas, to ensure information dissemination and saturation of beneficiaries under various flagship schemes.
