Devender Singh Rana for teacher-parent interaction to shape destiny of students
JAMMU, December: 19: Senior BJP leader Mr Devender Singh Rana today described sky as the limit for young students to excel academics and extra- curricular activities, saying this can be translated into reality by enhancing interpersonal relationship between teachers, students and parents.
Speaking at the 14th Annual Day function of Chenab Valley Public School, Ranjan, Mr Devender Rana said that such an interactive relationship assumes more significance at the basic schooling level.
Mr Rana exhorted parents in particular to have frequent interaction with teachers so as to monitor the progress of their children on a regular basis. For this purpose, the management will have to cooperate and maintain the best academic standards to shape the destiny of children as per needs of the fast changing competitive world.
Mr Rana, who was Chief Guest at the Annual Day Function, lauded the role of private schools in the spread of education and exuded confidence that their efforts would help achieve higher levels of literacy in the rural areas of the state. He also complimented students, especially those who participated in various activities for their performance, saying Annual Day Function is a special occasion for parents and their wards.
The function began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, which was followed by Ganesh Vandana.
The main attraction of the function was the medley of dance performances on the theme of Save water, Save life ,National Integration and Save girl Child. The tiny toddlers of the Kindergarten section also performed on the foot tapping dance numbers. The centre of attraction of the whole cultural fiesta was the enactment of the message of Bhagavad Gita by the students.
This was followed by a welcome address by the Chairman, Mr Rachpal Singh, who dwelt on the journey of fourteen years of perseverance and hard work, which has culminated in the progress of the institute.
Principal Mr.Dheeraj Thakur presented the Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the School in the last year.
The students who were achievers in the academics in the last session were felicitated by the Chief Guest.
Mr Devender Rana congratulated the Chairman, Principal and Staff of the school for the stupendous show, imparting quality education and providing a platform for holistic development of students. He hoped the institution will progress by leaps and bounds in the future.
Later, the Chairman and the Principal presented a memento to the Chief Guest.
The function concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
