Horticulture Dept organizes one-day training, awareness programme under MIDH Scheme
SRINAGAR, December 19: One-day Training / Awareness programme was organized by the Horticulture Department of District Srinagar under the MIDH scheme on Tuesday.
The Director of Horticulture Kashmir, Ghulam Rasool Mir (JKAS), chaired the Training programme. Besides Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar, the Chief Canning and Processing Instructor Srinagar, District Horticulture Officer Srinagar, DL-SMS Srinagar, Horticulture Development Officer Shalimar, Horticulture Development Officer Zakura and Horticulture Development Officer Zawoora were also present on this occasion.
More than 100 orchardists, including PRIs from district Srinagar, participated in the awareness camp. Director Horticulture Kashmir presented the overall view of horticulture schemes with special reference to the Modified High-Density Plantation and Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). He stressed the orchardists to take advantage of the schemes of Horticulture.
Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar, while addressing the gathering, briefed them about subsidy incentives provided by the Horticulture Department under the Modified High-Density Plantation and HADP scheme. He urged them to take maximum benefit from these beneficiary-oriented schemes launched by the· Government.
Later on, District Horticulture Officer Srinagar gave a detailed overview of these beneficiary-oriented schemes. At last, Chief Horticulture Officer, Srinagar thanked orchardists for active participation in the training programme.
