Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra connects underserved population to public services in Reasi District
REASI, December 19: To cover a maximum number of beneficiaries of several Central Government schemes by reaching them directly, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van today reached 6 panchayat of Bhaber Brhamana, Dera Baba Banda, Mahore, Mahore lower, Bidda and Talwara Upper of Reasi district.
The Van having information, education, and communication (IEC) materials like pamphlets, and booklets on the various central government schemes reached these places as per a pre-defined schedule. The Van, equipped with a sound system and digital LED screen, showcased videos of the Prime Minister’s address, videos of beneficiaries and some other small awareness movies.
During the event, attendees took the Sankalp (pledge) in line with the vision of the Viksit Bharat campaign. Earlier on its arrival, the Yatra was enthusiastically welcomed at these Panchayats. The local People and representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and government officials attended the events at the respective location amid a dynamic mélange of events and initiatives.
As the program unfolded, the functionaries interacted with the locals and provided information about different flagship government schemes and initiatives. Free medical camps were held to provide free health services to the local people at their doorsteps.
The Yatra has been rolled out with the intention to reach out to the unreached population and make the general masses aware of the multitude of government schemes, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM PRANAM Yojana and Urea Subsidy Scheme and the process to avail benefits.
