DC Udhampur reviews progress of HADP projects

UDHAMPUR, December 23: In a bid to assess the progress achieved under the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan in district, Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai convened a meeting with line department officers today. The meeting, held at the Mini Conference Hall in the DC Office Complex, saw a comprehensive overview presented by Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand.

The CAO delved into the plan’s implementation, beneficiary selection, banking linkages, activity convergence, and initiative status, covering both physical and financial progress along with online application processing.

Recognizing HADP’s crucial role in building a robust and profitable agricultural ecosystem, the DC urged banks to expedite loan approvals, highlighting their importance in supporting local farmers. Emphasizing optimal benefit for farming communities, she called upon departmental officers to ensure effective HADP implementation and prompt loan approvals under allied department schemes. This proactive approach, she stressed, aims to meet farmers’ financial needs and improve their well-being.

Demonstrating a commitment to optimizing HADP benefits for Udhampur’s farmers, the DC directed officers to analyze rejected applications and conduct awareness programs. By addressing gaps and fostering understanding, these efforts will ensure the plan’s success in empowering the district’s agricultural sector.
