Director AHD concludes 2 day tour to district Kishtwar; visits Padder area- last corner of UT
Reviews progress of Animal Husbandry sector, inaugurates AH facilities, engages with SHGs
KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 24: Director, Animal Husbandry Jammu, Dr. Shubhra Sharma, who was on a two day tour to district Kishtwar, concluded her visit today after engagements in Padder area- the last corner of UT.
Earlier, she conducted a comprehensive review of the progress and initiatives within the Animal Husbandry sector in Kishtwar district on Friday.
Accompanied by Dr. Nadeem Ahmed, Extension Officer of the Publicity Wing, Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, the visit to district Kishtwar aimed at assessing the status of various programs and schemes.
Dr. Shubhra Sharma inaugurated the Tehsil Unit Kishtwar Building and Animal Operation Theater at Veterinary Complex Kishtwar.
Later, the Director Husbandry Department Jammu met a delegation of Paravets association (Technical Field Staff Association) Kishtwar presence of Dr. Ajaz Hussain Patagaroo, CAHO. Dr. Shubhra assured them that all their genuine demands will be fulfilled.
Director Animal Husbandry Jammu along with CAHO Kishtwar Dr. Ajaz Hussain today visited Nagseni and Padder Blocks of Kishtwar District. During her visit she inaugurated the newly constructed Livestock Development centre Building at Dool village and met with Self Help group members and the Public of Nagseni Block. During the interactive session, Dr. Shubhra Sharma attentively listened to the issues and concerns raised by the public. She assured them that all their issues will be resolved and Veterinary services will be strengthened in Kishtwar District.
Dr. Sharma visited Padder area of Kishtwar District, the last corner of J&K UT. This is the first time that Director Animal Husbandry visited Padder. Director Animal Husbandry Jammu along with CAHO Kishtwar inaugurated Walk in Cold room facility at Sub-unit Gulabgarh for maintenance of cold chain.She met Public Representatives of Padder Block who demanded stocking of adequate medicine at Veterinary centres of Padder.\
Dr. Shubhra assured them that demand will be fulfilled and on the spot directions for the same were issued. She also engaged with Self-Help Groups at Community Hall Gulabgarh Padder. This interaction facilitated a closer understanding of community needs and aspirations within the ambit of animal husbandry initiatives.
In a significant gesture towards boosting the animal husbandry infrastructure, Dr. Shubhra Sharma allotted funds for procurement of Ultrasound and X-ray machines at TU Kishtwar and Sub unit Atholi and augmentation of PDC Kishtwar so that Poultry farming sector in District Kishtwar can be boosted
Dr. Sharma’s visit and proactive engagement highlight the commitment of the Animal Husbandry Department in fostering progress, inclusivity, and sustainable development within Kishtwar’s animal husbandry sector.
