BJP Sanskrit Art, culture cell organizes ‘Kavi Goshti’ on Vajpayee’s birth anniversary
JAMMU, December 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir Sanskrit Art & culture cell led by its Convenor Kulbir Charak organized ‘Kavi Goshti’ on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji at party headquarter Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Dozens of poets from different shades of life participated in the event, who described the life and achievements of Atal Bihari Vajpayee through very heart touching poems in simple and impressive words.
Former MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, former Dy. Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, J&K BJP Vice-President Sham Lal Sharma, General Secretary Adv. Vibodh Gupta, All cells Incharge Rakesh Mahajan, former deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma, Co Incharge all cells Ved Sharma, District President South Rekha Mahajan and others shared the stage.
BJP Vice-Presidents Shakti Singh Parihar & Anuradha Charak, Secretary Ayodhya Gupta, Veenu Khanna, Parmod Kapahi, Suresh Sharma, Munish Sharma, Jugal Dogra, Sham Langer, JD Singh, Parduman Singh, Puneet Mahajan, Dil Bahadur Jamwal and others also participated in the programme.
The poets who joined the Goshti included Vijay Verma, Ashok Charak Vijay Singh Dardi, Pawan Verma, Usha Kiran, Mohan Lal Sharma, Antu Kotwal Rampuria, Sunil Sharma, Brij Mohan, VK Sambyal and Monika Khosla. Senior party leaders also felicitated these poets for their mesmerizing recitations.
Shamsher Singh Manhas stressed that we should learn from life-lessons Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s life. He said that Atal ji is the first Prime Minister of India who is regard as a non-controversial heart-throb of the country.
Kavinder Gupta recited a poem of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Atal ji ‘Pehchan’. He said that the former Prime Minister made a huge mark on Indian politics as an exceptional speaker, true statesman and inspiring poet.
Sham Lal Sharma thanked all the poets and singers and said that the poets have done the work of awakening the spirit of patriotism through their creations.
Rakesh Mahajan, earlier, gave a welcome address and said that the poet makes every person energetic, cheerful, joyful and entertained.
Ved Sharma conducted the programme proceedings. The programme was managed by Cell convenor Kulbir Charak and co-convenor Sahil Mahajan.
