Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reaches villages across Jammu, spreads awareness, empowerment
JAMMU, December 26: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide initiative to empowering the masses and enhancing awareness about government schemes, reached several villages in the district today.
In panchayat Bhatyari, block Dansal, the Yatra van was welcomed with enthusiasm by local officials, students, and prominent citizens. The event featured cultural performances by students, informational stalls from various departments, and free health services. Officials highlighted key government schemes like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Kisan Credit Card and Har Ghar Jal Jeevan Mission, addressing queries and providing guidance.
Similar scenes unfolded in Jourian, where the Yatra van first visited the Government Middle School to showcase achievements under various programs. The event at the Municipal Committee Jourian saw departmental heads setting up stalls, distributing pamphlets, and engaging with residents. Students presented cultural programs, and officials spoke about initiatives like PMAY(U), Jan Dhan Yojana, and Umeed (NRLM). On-spot registrations for PM Vishwakarma and other online services were also facilitated.
Panchayat Battal in Block Kharah Balli also witnessed the Yatra’s arrival. Sarpanch Renu Devi and other PRI members actively participated in the event, which featured cultural performances by students and stalls showcasing government schemes. District administration officials were commended for bringing the Yatra to their doorstep, making information and services readily accessible.
The Yatra’s impact extended to Panchayat Rajpura, Block Marh, where dignitaries and PRI members welcomed the initiative. The focus was on bridging the gap between government services and beneficiaries through direct assistance. Officers and officials engaged with residents, addressing queries and facilitating smooth implementation of schemes like Ayushman Bharat Yojana and rural livelihood programs. Beneficiaries shared positive experiences with Ayushman cards, highlighting the program’s impact.
The Yatra’s reach further extended to panchayat Makhanpur Gujjrain, where a health camp was organised at the Government High School Govindpura. NCD and anemia screenings, counselling sessions, and awareness campaigns about JSY and Ayushman Bharat Yojana were conducted. Free medicines were also distributed to the participants.
