VC JU lauds students’ enthusiastic participation in Viksit Bharat @2047 Campaign
Jammu, December 27: The visionary initiative outlined by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to propel the nation towards progress and development, the University of Jammu received an unprecedented response from its student community in registering on the Viksit Bharat @2047 portal. Over 3000 students have actively participated, sharing their visionary ideas to contribute towards the realization of India as a developed nation by 2047.
Launched on December 11, 2023, through a Live streaming event by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative envisaged the youth to register on the portal and actively engage in shaping the nation’s future. Launched on December 11, 2023, the campaign encouraged students to register on the Viksit Bharat Portal and share their innovative ideas, contributing to the vision of a developed India by 2047.
In a message, filled with joy and appreciation for the remarkable student response, the Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Umesh Rai said, “I am delighted to witness the extraordinary response from our students to the Viksit Bharat @2047 campaign. Their active engagement and innovative ideas are testament to the commitment for the bright future of our nation.”
“The overwhelming participation of more than 3000 students is truly commendable, and I applaud the students for contributing to this national initiative. Their ideas are the driving force that will lead India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047”, said Prof. Rai.
Prof. Rai further called upon the students to continue this spirit of collaboration and creativity, saying that their involvement is crucial in realizing the vision set forth by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. He hoped that the University of Jammu will continue to be a hub of innovation, fostering the ideas that will contribute to the progress of our great nation.

More than 3000 registered participants have shared their innovative ideas, reflecting the depth of creativity within our student community”.
During this period the University also organized many workshops, group discussions, talks on Community Radio of the University, Nukkad Nataks, Essay Writing competitions, poetry recitation competition, Poster Making competitions, Quizzes, etc on the themes aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat, creating a platform for young minds to express their thoughts and perspectives on the theme of evolved India by the year 2047 wherein the students showcased their creativity, critical thinking and passion for contributing towards the vision of developed India. The selfie points were also established at key locations within the University, garnering an increased and enthusiastic response from the students.
