Block Diwas held at Dak Bunglow Baramulla

ADDC assures public for swift redressal of their grievances

BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 27: In an endeavour to take a firsthand appraisal of the community issues, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf today presided over a Block Diwas at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla.

This event catered to three blocks, Narvah, Baramulla and Sheeri, ensuring a direct engagement with the general public to address their concerns at their doorsteps.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Tehsildar Baramulla, Chief Education Officer Baramulla, Chief Medical Officer Baramulla and other officers from concerned line departments, public representatives and people from villages of respective blocks participated in the Block Diwas.

During the event, residents from three participating blocks raised several developmental concerns and grievances to the concerned officers. These issues include road macadamization, MGNREGA labor payment, providing bus services to remote areas, addressing electricity and drainage problems, alongside other pressing community issues

After listening to public grievances and demands, the attending officers addressed the queries within their purview and committed to prioritizing the unresolved issues by escalating them to the relevant departments for swift action.

Speaking during the occasion, Aijaz Abdullah emphasized that the purpose of organizing these grievance redressal camps is to directly gather insights into local concerns from the public, allowing for on-site assessments and facilitating a comprehensive and prompt resolution process.

The ADDC further assured the representatives that their issues and demands have been taken up on priority and would be brought to the attention of the relevant authorities for resolution.
