Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Choglamsar-I

Leh, Dec 28, 2023: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Halqa Panchayat Choglamsar-I of Leh block, UT Ladakh under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner,Leh, Sonam Nurboo, and the chief guest was Chairperson Block Development Council, Leh, Dr. Skalzang Dorjey on December 27.

Around 120+ people actively participated in the program. Besides, stalls were installed by different departments to provide on-spot services showcasing their flagship schemes fostering awareness and engagement.

The village Committee Secretary, Abdul Rauf started the program with a welcome speech followed by screening of recorded message by the Hon’ble President of India Draupadi Murmu and Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Information, Education and Communication (ICE) Van interacting with beneficiaries of various Government schemes from different parts of the country was also aired on the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra vehicle.

Further, presentations by various Departments such as the Rural Development Department, Horticulture and Agriculture, and PHE Department regarding the main objectives and implementing procedures of their respective available schemes/programs were presented by their concerned officers/resource persons.

During the event, beneficiaries under the Swachh Bharat Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojna shared their success stories, experiences and motivated participants to actively take benefits of available schemes.

The event also featured a cultural performance by the villagers of Choglamsar-1, showcasing the rich heritage of Ladakh.

Farhana Ilyas was felicitated at the event for her bronze medal, won at boxing competition during the Khelo India Games 2020.

One of the highlights of the event was the comprehensive health screening camp of the health department and the Aadhaar updation service provided by the Education Department and Aadhaar Unit, where majority of attendees availed the benefit of the camp. In addition, essential tools were distributed by the Horticulture Department, and animal fodder for cattle was distributed by the Animal Husbandry Department.

The event was concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by village Committee Member,  Shakeel Rehman of Choglamsar-I village.
