DC launches 3 day VBSKY in MC Ganderbal
Emphasizes on taking full advantage of all beneficiary schemes, VBSY Van spreads PM’s message among residents of town
GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 29: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today launched 3-days Viksit Bharat Sankalp Programme in Municipal Council Ganderbal (MCG).
On day one, VBSKY was launched in 6 wards of Municipal Council during an impressive event presided over by the DC as chief guest, held here in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
The event featured screening of PM’s message on Viksit Bharat, awareness programmes along with cultural folk dances by female students of government schools remained the highlights of the first day of the programme, where stalls were set up by various departments including Health, Handicrafts, District Industries Centre, Horticulture and others.
Representatives of the line departments explained the various schemes and programmes run by the government for the public welfare. They also distributed pamphlets and brochures to the people and answered their queries.
Addressing an impressive gathering dominated by the female participants, the DC appreciated overwhelming public participation in different public welfare schemes. He shed light on the importance of Viksit Bharat and the pivotal role citizens can play in achieving its ambitious goals by 2047.
He said that on the same path Ganderbal is also developing and projects which were languishing since decades are taken up by the administration for their completion at the earliest.
The DC added Viksit Bharat Sankalp has seen tremendous success in Ganderbal, attaining saturation in all the blocks and Panchayats and now Municipal Council is following the same, adding yet another feather in the developmental cap of the district.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner, officers of district administration, PRIs and locals, actively took part in the Viksit Bharat pledge, reaffirming their commitment towards development of the nation.
Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, Chief Executive Officer MCG, Mirza Asif, BMO Ganderbal Dr. Andleeb and other district officers and officials were present on the occasion.
