J&K DGP bestows ADGP rank on IPS officers Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar

Director General of Police J&K, R.R. Swain decorated the newly promoted IPS officers S Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar with ADGP rank in a piping ceremony held at Police Headquarters on Friday.

The ceremony was attended by ADGP (Hqrs/Coord.) PHQ M.K Sinha and other senior officials of the J&K Police.

During the event, DGP J&K, R.R. Swain, extended congratulations to the officers and their families.

He expressed confidence in their continued commitment and dedication to the department and the public, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

Both IPS officers, Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar, have served in crucial roles throughout their careers.

Anand Jain’s assignments include positions such as SDPO Ganderbal, SP East Srinagar, I/C SP Baramulla, SSP Baramulla, AIG (prov/Tpt.) PHQ, SSP Reasi, SSP Rajouri, SSP Jammu, CO-IRP-15th Bn., SSP Baramulla, IGP Hqrs. PHQ, and Director Anti Corruption Bureau J&K. He is currently serving as IGP Jammu.

On the other hand, Nitish Kumar has held positions such as SDPO Nowshera, SDPO Gandhi Nagar, SP South Srinagar, SP Handwara, SP Pulwama, SSP Anantnag, AIG (CIV) PHQ, DIG SKR Anantnag, DIG NKR Baramulla, and IGP Technical Services J&K. He is presently posted as IGP CID J&K.
