Approves change of land use case

RAJOURI, DECEMBER 30: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today asked the Revenue Department to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of services offered by the Department while chairing a crucial meeting here today. The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria and Tehsildars concerned.

The focus of the meeting was on the functioning of the Revenue Department with a particular emphasis on modernization and the adoption of advanced technology to streamline operations. One of the primary topics of discussion was the digitization of land records. In this regard, the meeting was informed that the process of digitizing land records has been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in making land-related information more accessible and transparent to the public.

The meeting also provided a platform to assess the progress made in providing online revenue services. The officers reported that a multitude of services offered by the Revenue Department are now accessible online, making it easier for the public to avail themselves of these essential services. This transition to online services not only enhances convenience but also promotes transparency and accountability in the operations of the department.

Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal expressed his satisfaction over the progress made thus far and emphasized the dedication of the department to continue pursuing excellence in its services. He recognized the collaborative efforts of all officers and stakeholders who have contributed to these significant achievements.

 Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner chaired another meeting to discuss cases seeking change of land use from agriculture to non agriculture purposes. The meeting brought together key stakeholders as part of the District Level Committee (DLC) to deliberate on applications requesting a change of land use from agricultural to non-agricultural purposes.

During the course of the meeting, the committee conducted a meticulous review of these applications. After a threadbare discussion, the committee approved one case.
