Full-dress rehearsal parade conducted ahead of 74th Republic Day
LEH, January 24: A full-dress rehearsal parade took place ahead of the 74th Republic Day celebration at the Polo Ground in Leh today. Divisional Commissioner, UT Ladakh, Saugat Biswas, presided over the rehearsal parade and unfurled the Indian flag.
The full-dress rehearsal ceremony consisted of marching contingents from the Central Armed Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), UT Ladakh Police (men/women), UT Ladakh Police Trainees (men/women), National Cadet Corps (NCC) (men/women), NCC Kargil (men), Ex-servicemen, and different schools from Leh along with the Dog Squad of UT Ladakh Police. It also included three-band parties from Ladakh Scouts Regimental Center (LSRC), Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, and 5th Battalion IR 25 female band.
Cultural troupes from different schools of both Leh and Kargil districts and states, such as Punjab and Haryana, performed cultural songs and dances.
Similarly, full-dress rehearsal parades were held at Khaltse and Nubra sub-division.
