Crackdown on illegal mining in Bandipora; 3 vehicles seized

In a continued crackdown to curb the menace of illegal mining, the Bandipora Police has intensified its crackdown, resulting in the seizure of three vehicles in the Hajin area.

The decisive action was taken under the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act (MMRD) through coordination with the District Mineral Office, Bandipora.

The seized vehicles, believed to be instrumental in the illicit mining operations, have been impounded as part of the authorities’ commitment to enforcing the law and preserving natural resources.

The police have also initiated investigations to identify the source of the illegal mining and any individuals involved in the operation.
