Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra merely a photo-shoot event and total failure: Ajay Sadhotra
BJP Govt betrayed people of J&K by not fulfilling the promises they made: Rattan Lal Gupta
JAMMU, JAN 4: Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and former minister, has asserted that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) is merely a photography event being organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Govt to hide its failures. He said that the people can’t be fooled by holding such events for publicity and therefore this much hyped programme has proved to be a flop show rather total failure.
The senior JKNC leader expressed this in his address during Party’s review meeting of Chenani and Ramnagar Assembly Constituencies of Udhampur Rural District held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu.
The meeting was presided over by Ram Parshotam Sharma, District President Udhampur Rural. While welcoming the senior leaders of the party, he highlighted multiple problems and issues confronted by the people in the said constituency.
Ajay Sadhotra said that the incumbent Govt has miserably failed to address people’s issues particularly the educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir because of its anti people policies. Moreover, these miseries of the people have further multiplied due to the shortage of manpower in administration. He said that thousands of posts in Govt Departments of J&K are lying vacant since long so much so that even the health centres and schools are without adequate staff.
Accusing the administration of being least bothered about filling the said posts, Sadhotra said that this stands proved by the existing scenario in Ramnagar and Chenani Assembly Constituencies where the problems of general public have increased manifold today.
Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President, JKNC, said that BJP as well as the UT Administration have betrayed the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially those of Jammu by promising the moon and delivering nothing on ground. He asserted that Jammu BJP leaders from top to bottom are in utter frustration today as they have no say in the party’s high command and therefore they cannot address the people’s problems.
The senior NC leader said that the performance of the BJP’s proxy regime in J&K has been quite dismal as per the expectations of people which is evident from the fact that its Jammu leaders are shying away from meeting the people. He asserted that in the present hopeless scenario, holding of Assembly, ULB and Panchayat polls is the only panacea to end people’s miseries.
Surinder Choudhary Central Secretary while addressing the meeting said that the developmental of far flung areas are totally standstill and the people are suffering for non-availability of essential commodities such as supply of ration, electricity, water supply etc the condition of roads and other communication system are in worst condition.
Abdul Gani Malik Zonal President Udhampur Reasi and former minister in his address on the occasion urged the party workers to reach out to the people and take the requisite steps to address their issues.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary JKNC Jammu asked the party workers to remain present at the grass roots level 24X7 and intensify their efforts to further strengthen the party base.
