JKSSB job aspirants call on Kavinder Gupta, submit memorandum
A delegation of students/ aspirants of JKSSB jobs, called on Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister and submitted a memorandum containing their issue regarding waiting list subject, which, according to them, is a cause of increasing unemployment in the UT of J&K.
The detailed contents of the memorandum stated that the recent government order, GAD-MTGORBIV/127/2023 dated 26th September 2023, has nullified the provision for waiting lists concerning various exams conducted by the JKSSB. However, the absence of waiting lists for a diverse range of positions, including Field Inspector (FI), Field Assistant (FA), Junior Environmental Engineer (JEE), Junior Engineer Civil (JE Civil) Jal Shakti, Junior Engineer Civil (JE Civil) Public Works Department (PWD), Stock Assistant, Village Level Worker (VLW), Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub Inspector (JKP-SI), Junior Assistant,Lab Assistant, Data Entry Operator Finance Accounts Assistant (FAA) and many more exams is presenting significant challenges for deserving candidates It’s crucial to mention that Jammu and Kashmir stands out as the only UT/State in India to abolish waiting lists for recruitment. This unprecedented move has far-reaching implications, severely affecting the aspirations and prospects of the region’s youth. JKSSB conducted various exams and many candidates succeeded in these exams, securing multiple positions. However, without the restoration of waiting lists, there’s a looming risk of these positions remaining vacant. This oversight could deeply impact deserving candidates, leading to missed opportunities and intensifying their plight due to JKSSB’s delayed actions. Candidates who dedicatedly prepared for years now face disqualification from applying for future posts due to age constraints.
Furthermore, it is an established principle that a statutory rule or government order typically has prospective effects unless expressly or implicitly made retrospective. Hence, we sincerely urge your intervention to ensure the immediate release of waiting lists for previously advertised posts and upcoming exams. Restoring waiting lists for All advertisements resonates with the principles of fairness, transparency, and justice for candidates eagerly awaiting these opportunities.
Kavinder Gupta gave patient hearing to these aggrieved students/aspirants of JKSSB jobs and assured to take up their genuine issues at the appropriate plateform with the concerned authorities.
The delegation led by Ankush Sharma, comprised of Kavleen Kour, Varinder Bhagat, Sahil Sharma, Rajneesh Bhagat, Aamir Suhail, Nadeem, Jagriti, Neeraj and Mujeeb.
