NC leaders have foreseen their party’s defeat: Dr Manyal
JAMMU, January 06: A glance at the changing political scenario in the Jammu and Kashmir UT indicates that the leaders of NC have foreseen defeat of their party and are working on the policy to keep targeting BJP.
Jammu and Kashmir BJP general secretary and former minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, said this while reacting to the statements of National Conference (NC) leaders being issued on daily basis and targeting BJP. He said that it reflects total frustration and fear of defeat in polls among the top leadership of NC. Not a single day passes when the leaders of this party raises questions on BJP and its government at the centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While one leader of NC makes false charges against BJP of betraying people, the other calls for unity to defeat BJP. Similarly, they also term ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ as a mere photo shoot. This all is due to the growing popularity of BJP in the entire length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir UT, which has unnerved NC.
Dr. Manyal said that even a layman can well conclude that the way NC leaders are indulging in making public statements targeting BJP everytime, is nothing but result of total frustration among the rank and file of this regional political party. He said that one can also understand the political compulsion of NC to project itself a live party through its attempts to remain in limelight but the fact is that it is fast losing its identity in public, faith of the people and has reached almost nearer to extinction.
The BJP senior leader further said that healthy politics in a democracy should mean to make statements based on facts and react to the government programmes and policies in a decent manner and not indulge in mudslinging.
“The BJP has, to its credit, that the party never makes false claims or targets other political parties through misleading utterances but speaks on facts and ground realities”, he said and added that gone are the days when some parties used to take people for granted and could manipulate the things to garner support of the public and grab the power.
The BJP leader advised the NC leadership to devote time for raising the genuine issues of the public interest instead of wasting energy and time to target BJP. This will prove to be a futile exercise for this party, whose leaders have foreseen the defeat of hal (plough) in future elections and are deeply frustrated, he said.
