Cement not meant for retail sale recovered in Rajouri

RAJOURI, 8 January 2024: Police in Nowshera sub division of Rajouri district has recovered consignment of cement which is not meant for retail sale.

Police said that a team of Police officials of PS Nowshera headed by SHO Nowshera raided a location at Chowki village of Nowshera in the house of a local person namely Sourab Chandan son of Bodh Raj resident of Chowki.

During the raid, police seized twenty bags of cement not meant for retail sale.

Accordingly, a case in FIR 04/2024 U/Ss 409, 109 IPC has been registered in police station Nowshera and further investigation is going on.

The accused namely Sourab Chandan son of Bod Raj resident of Chowki has been arrested in the instant case.

There is likelihood of more arrests as the investigation proceeds further to some logical conclusion.
