“Politicising Ram Mandir issue is wrong…,” Sachin Pilot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], January 10 (ANI): With a couple of weeks left for the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Temple, Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Wednesday said that “politicising” the issue of the Ram Temple is “wrong.”

Speaking to reporters, the Congress leader said that he does not need anyone’s invitation to express his faith and visit the temple.

“I will go whenever I feel like it. This is an emotional and religious issue; it is wrong to do politics, Ram Mandir,” Pilot said.

He further said that if the political leaders want to do politics, then they should take up issues like farmer poverty, economic policy and inflation.

“Do politics on farmers, the poor, economic policy, and inflation. In today’s global market, the price of crude oil has halved but the Indian government is not reducing the price,” he added.

Earlier, the chairman of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Construction Committee invited former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and the party’s leader in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury for the consecration ceremony.

However, the attendance of senior Congress leaders has not yet been confirmed by the party.

Notably, preparations are underway in full swing for the Ram Temple ‘Pran Pratishtha’ on January 22, which will draw dignitaries and people from all walks of life.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to enthrone Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the Ram Temple at noon on January 22.

Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony. A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. From January 14 to January 22, Ayodhya will mark the Amrit Mahotsav.

Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, holds great spiritual, historical, and cultural significance for the people of India.
