588 gm Heroin recovered, peddler arrested in Jammu’s Nagrota

JAMMU, 10 January 2024: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 588 grams of Heroin from one accused person in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Nagrota.

A police team of PS Nagrota led by PS Nagrota SHO PS Nagrota while on Naka duty in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Nagrota rounded up a suspected person later identified as Manzoor Ahmed Wani S/O Abdul Gani Wani R/O Bongam Hir Pora Shopian. On search, 588 grams of Heroin was recovered from his possession.

In this regard, a case FIR number 16/2023 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in PS Nagrota and the accused was arrested.

Further investigation of the case is going on.
