National Youth Day held at UOL to honor Swami Vivekananda

LEH, January 12: MeraYuva Bharat (MY Bharat), an autonomous organisation of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organised the National Youth Day across the country including the University of Ladakh today to honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Youth Icon of India.

Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi inaugurated the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra, which was live-streamed with large number of youth joining from different cities of the country.

The theme of this year’s festival is ‘ViksitBharat @2047- By the Youth, For the Youth’. On this occasion, a floral tribute was given to Swami Vivekananda and highlighted his life, works, and contributions to the nation.

Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi stated that the government has provided opportunities for all Youth of India in terms of education, employment, entrepreneurship, startups and sports etc. Additionally, the Prime Minister also encouraged the young generation to follow their dreams and to face new challenges for themselves.

During the live telecast, Assistant Registrar, University of Ladakh, NawangTundup; Section Officer, Tsering Tundup; Consultant Administration, Tsering Dorjay and all the non-teaching staffs of the University of Ladakh watched the PM live telecast.
