54 bottles of illicit liquor recovered in Jammu’s Akhnoor

JAMMU, 12 January 2024: An information was received at PS Akhnoor regarding one bootlegger selling illicit liquor in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Akhnoor.

After this special police teams of PS Akhnoor led by SHO Akhnoor laid a special naka at Pannu Chowk and rounded up a suspected person who was coming on his vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02AM-3305 from Akhnoor towards Jourian area. During search, 54 bottles of illicit liquor of JK special Whiskey 180/180ml each got recovered from his possession.

In this regard, Case FIR No. 10/2024 U/s 48-a, Excise Act has been registered at PS Akhnoor and accused person got arrested. The accused person was later identified as: – Ashok Kumar S/o Munshi Ram R/o Palwan Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu

Further investigation of the case is going on.
