GDC Ramgarh celebrates National Youth Day

SAMBA, JANUARY 12: Government Degree College Ramgarh began the celebration of national youth day by organizing a live telecast of  Prime Minister’s Speech  on National Youth Festival – 2024. The event was organised under the supervision and able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of College who reiterated the Prime Minister’s vision to actively involve the youth of the country in the formulation of National Plans to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

GDC Ramgarh also organized a Symposium on the “Ideology of Swami Vivekananda” to celebrate National Youth Day under the Red Ribbon Club. This day is observed every year on 12th January to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s greatest leader and believer of youth power, Swami Vivekananda.

At the outset, Prof. Sandeep Kumari, HoD, Department of Education, addressed the students about the objective of celebrating National Youth Day to make a better future for the country by motivating the youth and spreading the ideas of the Swami Vivekananda. She said that this day is also known as Yuva Diwas. She also educated the students and provided awareness about the knowledge of having awareness of their rights in India.

The students of the college enthusiastically participated in the symposium and presented their views on the teachings, preachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda. The first position was bagged by Chahat Tadyal, the second position by Diya Jamwal and Geetanjali secured the third position.

The faculty members who were present in the workshop are Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Dr. Shivali Choudhary,  Priya Sharma, Dr. Ekta Rani,  Akansha,  Ram Murti and  Sunil Kumar.
